Dreams are weird and even there’s a lot of research done about the phenomenon of sleep, there’s not a lot to explain. Scientists still haven’t cracked the “dream code” yet.
But you can know some facts that will leave you surprised about how dreams work. Read them right here.
1. You cannot read when you are dreaming
So the next time you are confused between dream and reality, try to read something which is near-by.
2. The people you dream of
Always wondered about this, haven’t you? Well, all the people you have seen in your dream are faces you have seen before either consciously or sub-consciously.
3. You can have control over your dreams
No shit! It’s called lucid dreaming in which you are aware of yourself dreaming and you do whatever you want to.
4. You can have multiples dreams
No kidding at all! The average amount of dreams you can have in one night is seven! A lot of people are blessed/cursed with the ability to have many of them in a single night.
5. You can’t memorize your dreams
Your brain only remembers the dream you wake up to. Your brain otherwise starts erasing all the dreams from the memory once they have ended. Now you know why don’t you remember any of your weird or not-so-weird dream!
6. Sleep paralysis
If one suffers from sleep paralysis they are unable to move, speak or even react at all in the dream. This triggers anxiety and fear.
7. Babies cannot dream
Babies are unable to dream until they are 3-4 years of age. It is because their brains aren’t fully developed until that age. Damn you, kids!
