It is really good when you know how and when some incidents happens. It’s really good to know how and where a story originates. But what when you do not know why did those things happen or what did these things lead to and still are unexplained?
Here are a few true incidents which still stay unsolved and unexplained, and are enough to give you chills down your spine.
1. The Cooper Falling Body:
This story still remains unexplained. Is that a dead body or is it a doll? The details are pretty thin on the ground and are really just a couple of sentences. About half way through the last century (judging by the clothes), the Cooper family moved into a new home somewhere in Texas. They took a photograph to mark this occasion and this thing appeared in the left of the frame upon development. And that’s it. I’m told that the original snap has been cropped, which explains why the family is now not centred, as one would expect them to be. However, there is some degree of vignetting, which points towards the photograph being uncropped. Another possibility is that a doll or something was being dangled in front of the camera to make sure the boys looked into the lens, but would anyone really let an object into the frame so much? Surely it’d be just as easy to dangle the doll above the lens. This still remains unsolved.
2. The Moving Coffins of the Chase Family Vault:
This, amongst all other other incidents, stays one of the most unexplained cases, when Thomas Chase committed suicide, he was to be placed in the vault next to his daughter for eternity. But something strange occurred when the vault was opened. When the vault was opened, the coffins were no longer placed neatly aside each other, as they were after the previous funeral. Everything was completely out of place and moved around as if the tomb had been ransacked by grave robbers. The devastated family reorganized the coffins together in a row and placed the 240-pound casket of Thomas alongside them. The huge marble slab was once again rolled over to the front to seal the vault. Quite some time later, 11-year-old Charles Chase is the next member of the family to pass away. Once again, the vault was opened to an unordinary sight. The coffins seemed as if they were tossed around and out of place. The part that perplexed the family was that the seal had not been tampered with. Again, the coffins were returned to their original position. At this point is when the public started to spread the news about the vault, and it gathered immediate attention. Locals claimed horses would normally get spooked near the vault. Other reports claim that there were loud screams that emerge from the vault late at night. Between the years 1816 and 1819, two more family members passed away. Each time, the original locations of the caskets were not in intact. Throughout all this time, an astonishing detail came to light. The original coffin in the vault from the unrelated lady had never moved an inch. It was only the Chase family members that were constantly disturbed.
3. Amityville Ghost:
This photo was apparently taken inside the Amityville house in 1976. It has become one of the most famous paranormal photos of all time. It features what appears to be a young boy with white eyes who is peaking out of a doorway. George Lutz revealed the Amityville ghost boy photo on the Merv Griffin show back in 1979, three years after it was taken. The image was supposedly captured by Gene Campbell, a professional photographer who was part of the team who worked with paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Gene had set up an automatic camera that took infrared pictures to capture the second floor landing during the night. Equipped with black and white film, his camera captured this Amityville ghost boy photo that some have speculated could be the ghost of the murdered child. The case still remains unsloved.
4. Black Knight Satellite mystery:
Legend has it that in orbit around the Earth is a mysterious, dark object which dates back perhaps 13 000 years. Its origin and purpose are inscrutable, dubbed the “Black Knight” this elusive satellite has allegedly been beaming signals towards the Earth and inspected by NASA astronauts yet only a few on Earth officially know of its existence. The origin of the ominous name is part of the enigma; it is impossible to discover who first called it this or indeed why. Humans have only in the last 60 years had the technology to launch a man-made object into space so what is the logical explanation of tales of an alien intruder on our doorstep? Such incidents don’t happen daily, do they?
5. The Mystery of Elisa Lam:
After five days of sightseeing, Elisa was scheduled to check out and continue her journey to Santa Cruz. On this day though, her parents did not receive their daily phone call from their daughter. Finding this uncharacteristic of Elisa, they contacted the L.A. police to report her disappearance.Hotel staff said she was alone on the morning of her disappearance, and the manager of a nearby bookstore, the last person to report seeing her alive, described her as “outgoing, very lively, very friendly,” having come in to buy gifts for her family. On February 16, the LAPD released a surveillance video from the hotel, taken on the 1st of February. The unsettling video depicts Elisa in one of the hotel’s elevators, acting in an extremely bizarre manner. It shows her peeking in and out of the elevator, hiding in the corner, pressing multiple buttons and erratically gesturing and dancing in the hallway outside the elevator. She then exits the elevator, and the door slides closed and open several times before the video ends. It was about this time that guests of the hotel began to complain of strange tasting, discoloured water and low water pressure in their rooms. Employees began to investigate the plumbing of the building. This led them to a gruesome discovery in the water tanks on the roof of the building.
6. Room Number 428:
The haunting of Room 428 may have only changed history in a very small way, but it’s certainly significant. Reports of hauntings in the dormitory room at Ohio University in Athens stretch back decades, with the Wilson Hall building of residence for students the home to a ghost who died under mysterious circumstances in the seventies. Stories since have ranged from the violent death of a young woman in the middle of an occult ritual, astral projection conducted by its occupants, along with multiple honest-to-goodness poltergeist sightings reported from multiple people students and teachers with objects being lifted and hurled violently through the air.
Shocked? Or should we say, scared? There is always some or the other reason for an incident to occur. But these are such incidents for which probably only God has an answer for. Have you heard of any unknown incidents apart from these? If yes, do mention in the comment section below. We hope you have a good day ahead after reading this.
