Superhero Movies : Are You Ready For These Upcoming Legends?

Everybody loves superheroes and when it comes to superhero movies everybody goes gaga! Marvel and DC have amazed us with it’s ultimate action packed superhero movies with incredible twists. From infinity stones to bringing Thanos, Bucky’s revenge, Marvel has given it all. But still we need more of it, we need more of the action. Movie studios are clambering over themselves to bring more new iconic comic characters to life on screen. This year has number of milestones in store for us. For Marvel Comics and DC fans alike, 2017 is shaping up to be “comic book nirvana”, said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at comScore. With the release of Logan, The LEGO Batman, Wonder Woman, Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 2 and Transformers already this year, superhero geeks have been rejoicing. But that’s not it yet, there’s alot more to come this year and later next year as well.

Compiled below is an anticipated list of all the superhero movie releases later this year:

1. Spider-Man: Homecoming (July 7, 2017)

The latest iteration of Sony’s Spider-man franchise merges with Walt Disney and Marvel Studio’s cinematic universe. Tom Holland plays a young Spidey in this franchise who begins to navigate his new found identity as the web-slinging superhero that he is. This young Spider-Man had made his debut in Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: Civil War”- the fourth highest superhero movie of all time. It makes us even more excited to know that Iron Man will be part of it too. And here’s the trailer:

2. Batman and Harley Quinn (August 15, 2017)

This Warner Bros.’ latest animated DC movie is set in a world where Harley has turned her back on the Joker, only to be roped into the world of capes and costumes and again Batman comes to rescue and saves the world from Poison Ivy. Batman and Nightwing are forced to team up with Harley. And guess what, this animated movie is getting its own comic series. Sounds incredible!

3. Warner Bros.’ Death Note (August 25, 2017)

Light Turner, a bright student who stumbles across a mystical notebook that has the power to kill any person whose name he writes in it. It is a supernatural thriller film.

4. The Inhumans (September 1, 2017)

Marvel announced that it would launch “Marvel’s The Inhumans” on ABC, but it would screen it’s pilot in theaters for two weeks in September. The pilot would display the details of the exploits of the Royal Family hating humanity from afar in the blue area of the moon.

5. Kingsman: the Golden Circle (September 21, 2017)

It’s a comedy spy film presented by Fox. Their headquarters is in ruins and the world is held hostage, members of Kingsman find new allies when they discover a spy organization in US known as Statesman. These two organizations club together to defeat a common enemy.

6. Professor Marston & The Wonder Women(October 27, 2017)

This movie presented by Sony is the story behind the creator of Wonder Woman and his unusual relationships that inspired the iconic super herione and also details the unconventional life of Dr.William Marston. Sounds iconic!!

7. Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017)

This is the twilight of the Gods, and Thor with his backup Avenger the Hulk joins in for the Nordic end of days. This is more like an intergalactic road movie. I’m sure this is the most anticipated movie this year.

8. Justice League (November 17, 2017)

If any DC movie has a chance of breaking a billion records, it’s JUSTICE LEAGUE! It’s THE movie superhero fans have been waiting for. The film brings in DC’s holy trio- Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman- for the first time ever, and not only these, even Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg would join in. It sounds so amazing and incredible. They all team up to fight against Steppenwolf who we saw in a deleted scene of Batman v Superman.

9. Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (December 15, 2017)

Our favourite saga continues in the galaxy far, far away.

Next year brings to you Black Panther, Deadpool 2, Avenger:the Infinity War, Aquaman, United Fox Marvel Film, Captain Marvel, X-Men and many more. This suggests that studios now believe in the mantra of pairing up characters it has introduced earlier and merging superhero blockbusters with other film genres.
