We live in a world that strives to create a lasting and correct impression on the ‘n’ number of persons we meet. In this quest for creating a lasting impression, it makes people wonder if first impression is really the last. Today the first impressions are usually followed by a Facebook profile, then by a Whatsapp DP, then an ‘Instagram crazy_lover_user_name’ , then a snapch …………. Your original impression dies a new death every single day.
“At first I thought you were __________ , but looking at all this my impression for you has changed manifold” – Everyone has gone through this.
Social media kills! It can also kill your first impression. Likewise it can also build. From zero to hero, from a loser to a winner, from hopeless to hopeful, from a passer by to a player. So where do people loose out on striking the correct one?
1. Fancy english that just pops out (rather poops out) of a book that even your ancestors haven’t heard of.
2. Self bragging, self acclamation, self description, self-whatsover ; so much of SELF in the first conversation that the listener is repelled to great extends.
3. Random questions which are just i.e. JUST and ‘J-U-S-T’ asked for sake of asking or because you have prepared and come. For example you ask your tinder mate:
“Which is your favourite Watch?”
Hoping for her to reply with a ‘brand’
To which you respond “Guess Mine”
Hoping for her to reply “How do I Guess?”
To which you gleefully respond – “Mine is Guess. Guess watches”
Hoping that she will – Literally-Roll-on-the-Floor-Laughing.
This will leave her in a state of depression. So much that Tinder will loose its userbase. She will loose faith in humanity if not finding the correct match through dating apps. We all make a faux-pas will trying to create an impression. But yes, you can bounce back. For, the first impression is definitely not the last.
You will have chances, but guess what, your Guess watch is ticking. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more such posts and you can also download our app to stay updated: Tell Me Nothing
