Public transport is both a blessing and a curse for many. On one hand we can easily travel from location to location in them while on the other…let’s just say people don’t like the experience because of the various kinds of people we encounter in them. Well the experience may be different from person but we are sprinkling light today on the kinds of people we encounter in a bus. Let’s roll!
1) The Bored Student
A lot of students use the bus facility, whether its public bus or school bus. Then there are those broke college students who can only afford to travel in a bus. All in all we see a lot of students struggling to travel in a bus especially in a country like India. They’re usually in a quiet corner, either studying of chatting on d phone. And hence, we have titled them as ‘The Bored Student’
2) The Headphone Junkie
This is something majority of us are guilty of doing. You know those days (usually every day) when you just want to block the outside world? So you just put on your earphones and forget the world exist? The feeling of bliss when you lose yourself in music is so good that you just don’t care what’s happening to the outside world. There could be an avalanche happening, or an earthquake taking place or alien attacking earth, but you would be so lost in your own world that you’d notice none of these things. This is the sole reason why we named ‘The Headphone Junkie’
3) The Oldies Who Fight For Seats
You wouldn’t understand the meaning of bickering unless you’ve encountered those old people who will always make you stand or ask for a seat. Well it is basic courtesy to offer seats to elderly but it is total frustration when they start fighting with you or lecturing you to get that seat.
4) The Constant Seat Seeker
Talking about seats, we have all encountered those ‘Seat Seekers’ who are always on a hunt to find a seat to sit, doesn’t matter how short or long their journey is, all they want is a seat. It is one of the basic necessities of life for ‘The Seat Seekers’ along with food, clothing and shelter. They’ll fight, argue, run and even karate chop you in the face to get to that vacant seat #TrueStory
5) The Cellphone Chatter Boxes and Speakers
There is a reason why we named them ‘The Chatter Box’ and ‘Speakers’ because not only do they talk on their phone constantly but they do it very loudly. So loudly that even ‘The Headphone Junkie’ gets annoyed with their voice because it ruins their whole ‘music and blocking the world’ thing. We’d like to ask one question to these people: Do you like flaunting and telling people about your life? Because by the end of the bus ride everyone in the bus will be aware if your conversation and life story.
6) Those Who Look Like Their Life Is Falling Apart
So you may see these kind of people not only in a bus but around you everywhere. You know the kind of people who look like a lightening just struck their house and ruined their life and now they are homeless and have nowhere else to go with no food, shelter or human being or animal to rely on? Yeah those who look like their life is falling apart. We see them everywhere, including a bus.
7) The ‘Gone With The Crowd’ People
If you have ever had the unfortunate experience of travelling in a crowded bus then you will know the ‘Gone With The Crowd People’. These are the people who don’t stand or hold on to anything while they are travelling in a crowded bus because they know by the end of the ride they have so many humans to support their body. They won’t even take an effort to exit the bus because they know that they’ll be ‘gone with the crowd’ which provides them total physical support.
8) The Warriors
Let’s be real, these are the kind of people who make our bus riding experience pure hell. They wait and wait for the bus and once it arrives they’ll do everything to get into that bus, doesn’t matter if the bus is crowded or vacant. They just want to catch that bus like the way a dying person wants to catch a life line. after that it is a complete ‘THIS IS SPARTA!!!!’ kind of scenario. A war between life and death. You get the point.
