10 Places In Mumbai To Have A Ball On A Weekend

Finally, the weekend is here and we can’t wait any longer to dress up, step out and party! We do have a weekend clubbing group, but all we lack or are confused about is the location. Where to go? Whether that place is worth a visit? What if the food isn’t nice? what if the DJ sucks? Gosh! This can be such a pain in ass. But why fear when we’re here. We’re back with another exciting and a problem-solver article about 10 places in Mumbai to have a ball on this weekend.

1. Bombay Cocktail Bar

Where: Andheri

A circular dance floor, a good ambience, some good cocktails, a live DJ and your weekend is all set. A must try is their ‘The Tipsy KalaKhatta’. The place picks up post 10:30 PM. A must visit. They have a cover charge on weekend of around INR 2,000 for two, but the best part is, it has an open menu! Go, drink like a fish and hog on every possible thing.

2. Bar Stock Exchange

Where: Sakinaka, Bandra, Kurla, Oshiwara, Juhu, Colaba, Lower Parel

Forget all your share market stress and trade your favourite drinks here. Corn Cheese Balls, Sangria,  Keema Pav, Mushroom Fritters, Popcorn Chicken, Tandoori Platter, Cheese Garlic Bread are some of the best dishes you must try over here. Plus, it ain’t heavy on your pockets. INR 1,300 for two including alcohol. That’s it. What are you waiting for? Go, trade!

3. Verbena

Featured in the romantic places on Zomato, this rooftop with some very rare and beautiful plants, which certainly is a soothing view for the sore eyes and a heavy mind. Planning a date this weekend? Meeting someone you matched on Tinder? This is your ideal date place that can bring you two closer. A tad expensive, around INR 2,000 for two with alcohol, the best dishes here are Khao Suey,  Jumbo Prawn, Creme Brulee and Stuffed Mushroom. Impressive, isn’t it?

4. Summer House Cafe

Unfinished walls and the kind of lighting they have call for a perfect gig venue. Different from the rest, the service is prompt and welcoming.  This is one helluva place which serves some seriously lismacking food like nachos,keema pav, fried rice, tiramisu are all worth trying. INR 2,000 for two, this place also serves you Jain food. A definite check for all the vegetarians in the house.

5. Magazine

Where: Bandra

Cannot go wrong with this when all you want to do is hangout with your friends and have a quick bite. You’ll need to shell out around INR 1,600 for two. The music is amazing and they play Bollywood post 11:00 PM. That reminds us, they have their upcoming event on 25th May- Witness the insane Night at Magazine with Parvaaz and Band. Do not read a magazine, but visit one.

6. Raasta

Where: Khar

The roof top is amazing for drinks, hookah and the dance floor. Next to Khar Social, this place is quite huge and they have these lovely, colourful sofas which are perfect for your snapchat stories. What you can try here – Lamb Stew, Strawberry Ice Tea, Non Veg Platter, Jalapeno Cheese Cigars, Al Faham Chicken for just INR 1,500 for two. Click, click, click!

7. The Junkyard Cafe

Where: Bandra

They are very true to thier name ‘Junkyard’. Interiors are so beautifully and themed. It has the old junked stuff like airplanes, car, transformer, radio, tyres, tubes, tables, giving a feel of you being chilling in a crazy lit air-conditioned garage. Even the washroom has a junkyards feel. The place is divided into 3 sections – Having outdoor seating, Indoor seating on the ground and upper level with a real comfort. Along with lovely hookah pots, their specialities includes – Butter Chicken, Tandoori Mushrooms, Palak Patta Chaat, Peri Peri Chicken, Dim Sum. A tad expensive, but certainly worth all your money. Theme it up this weekend.

8. Tamasha

The cutest place in terms of decor in our opinion. The new trending buzz in town with excellent ambience, mesmerising interiors, unique way of serving cocktails and mouth-smacking food. INR 1,8– for two, you must try Beijing Chicken, Chicken Chettinad, Malabari Paratha, Dim Sum, Mushroom Risotto. Let’s do some Tamasha tonight!

9. Todi Mill Social

Where: Lower Parel

Socials never run out of style. This one is extremely huge and spacious. Needless to say, it gets really crowded on Friday and Saturday night, hence a table booking is advisable. What are they famous for? Are you kidding me? Well, Paneer Makhani Biryani,  Kitkat Shake, Bruschettas,  Long Island Iced Tea,  Honey Chilli Fries,  Mutton Baida Roti,  Nachos. Let’s socialise this weekend only for INR 1,200 for two.

10. Glocal Junction

Where: Andheri, Worli

The place gives you a classic bar feeling which turns into an altogether live lounge post 9 especially on weekends. Try their signature paneer chilly pizza and cheese garlic sticks. They have happy hours from 4-8, so drink as much as you want. For an overall good experience, try spotting Wasim who will take good care for whatever you need. Not heavy on your pockets, you might end up paying INR 1,500 for two. No kidding.
