Manchester United, a football dream team who has now become an integral part of our lives, is ruling the globe now. Bryan Robson signing was a British transfer record from West Brom at £1.5m in October 1981. A player who never sensed danger wore the No. 7 shirt for 13 years. He was nicknamed as Captain Marvel. He played for Manchester United from year 1981 till year 1994 making 345 appearance scoring 74 goals.
2. George Best

He made his debut for Manchester United at the age of 17 and continued playing with the club for 11 years. He scored 179 goals from 470 appearance. He managed to be the club’s top goalscorer in the league for five consecutive seasons. In 1968 he was rewarded with the Ballon d’Or. But unexpectedly he quit Manchester United at the age of 27 in 1974.
3. Eric Cantona
King Eric was the greatest player of his generation. A legendary player who continued the legacy of no.7 jersey in Manchester United. He was bought by Sir Alex Ferguson for £1.2m in November of 1992. Played in Manchester United for 5years from 1992 till 1997. Scoring 64 goals in 143 appearances. Eric Cantona always wore no.7 shirt at Manchester United with his upturned collar trademark style.
4. David Beckham
The player who masters the celebrity footballer lifestyle. He made his debut in first team of Manchester United at the age of 17 in 1992. He became the most stylish player of his generation. In Manchester united he scored 62 goals in 265 appearances. He came into front page when he scored from halfway line against Wimbledon in 1996. He was known for world class set pieces and crossing ability.
5. Cristiano Ronaldo
CR7 the name says everything. The first Portuguese player who was signed by Manchester United for £12m in 2003 at the age of 18. Cristiano Ronaldo played for Manchester United from 2003-2009 scoring 84goals in 196 appearances. He was another stylish footballer. He got popular for his hard work, dedication and his lean body. He became the inspiration for the youngsters. Cristiano Ronaldo is an individual who has achieved everything through his hard work and dedication towards the game. After Cristiano Ronaldo there were few players who wore Number 7 Shirt, but Manchester United has not found a player worth to continue the legacy of the magical no.7 shirt.
