A sign of a good comedian is that he can turn any insults thrown at him into witty sarcasm and the sign of true friends is when you can easily insult each other without any hesitation that one, or the other will feel bad. But what happens when a group of four friends who have known each other since high school come together to become a comedy troupe who insult each other in public through pranks and dares on live TV? We get Impractical Jokers!
The four friends – Salvatore Vulcano or Sal, James Murray or Murr, Brian Quinn or ‘Q’ and Joseph Gatto or Joe – are unabashed, blatant, audacious and just know no limits. But everyone is different than the other with their own quirks. Do we even need to tell you about what Impractical Jokers is all about? Best we can say about this American reality series is that it is hysterically funny, extremely amusing and will make you doubt their sanity. But we all have laughed our ass off along with them at their impractical and bold jokes, dares and pranks on one another. The Impractical Jokers just stand out apart from the other prank shows when it comes to their way of executing the pranks – because they always make sure the jokes are always on them and not the public or any strangers. But we have to say they are uproarious and rib-tickling at the end. And its all the work of the genius and creative but absurd minds of the show – the four friends.
So here we are with some unknown and fun facts about the outrageous but funny American reality joke series – Impractical Jokers:
1. They began not as ‘Impractical Jokers’ but as ‘The Tenderloins’.
And they still prefer to be The Tenderloins outside the show. Impractical Jokers is what they came upon as the name of their show but they will forever remain The Tenderloins. ‘Cause we should not forget where we came from.
2. Before acting ,filming and humiliating each other for Impractical Jokers, the four friends were into live impromptu gigs and sketch comedy.
They were performing since 1990. And they still go back to it whenever they can. It seems all their hard work payed off.
3. If not Impractical Jokers, it was going to be known as Mission: Uncomfortable.
4. They are all about friends turned family who study together, live together, eat together, work together and obviously, laugh together.
Apparently they are friends from their high school times, as we mentioned and are still going strong, as we can see. They have all studied in Monsignor Farrell High School and boy did they get in a lot of trouble!. We can surely assure you that they are pranking each other since then. They are your bestfriend goals right there!
5. They have pranked each other not just for fun but also for a good cause.
Their 101th episode to mark the completion of 100 episodes had this part where the jokers challenged each other to walk on a high-wire walk to win $50,000 for the charity they had chosen. This is just one of the examples from the many such shows that they have aired.
When it comes to these jokers we cannot go without mentioning their cannot-be-described-in-words punishments. And it comes without any surprise that Sal tops the list. So here are Sal’s top punishments by truTV:
They are just plain evil masterminds and bring out their A-game every time to make us laugh especially Murr but at the end that is how they rule our hearts.
