1)Bhangarh Fort – Ajabgarh, Alwar, Rajasthan

This fort definitely takes the first spot of the most haunted places. Rajasthan is a state where people constantly seek the paranormal and this fort is the reason why. Many spirits of the dead are alleged to roam around the fort and have also known to harm humans. In fact if you ever want to visit this fort in the dark then you will not be allowed to for safety purposes. The reason people believe that its haunted is because many years ago a man cast a dark spell on the fort right before his death because he was killed by his lover who refused to marry him and killed him instead. Well it’s because of their love and drama this place has become a forbidden supernatural hub. It is also a known tourist spot today but gets deserted at night. Hmm what could be the reason we wonder…

2)Kuldhara – Rajasthan

If you ask me what it is with Rajasthan and haunted places then let me tell you, I don’t know but the state seems to be the hub for paranormal forces and one such places is Kuldhara, also known as the Ghosts village in Rajasthan. It is believed that the village, which was created in 1291 by the Paliwal Bhramins was abandoned by them in 1852, the clan stayed in the village for nearly 7 centuries until one day they, along with 83 nearby villages just vanished in the dark, never to be seen again. Kuldhara now lies in ruins in Rajasthan but has attracted many tourists over the years.

3)Dumas Beach, Surat- Gujarat

Over the years this beach has become a big attraction for the paranormal seekers. The Dumas beach in Gujarat has been reported as one of the most haunted places in India. People have mysteriously disappeared while taking a stroll off the shore while some people have complained of hearing weird whispers. It was also reported that the land along the beach was used as a Hindu burial spot where many tortured souls were made to rest in peace. However, it seems like the tortured soul have taken it into their hands to torture alive humans while they explore the beach. However the beach with its black sand does give off an eerie feeling but the weird activities are yet to be explained.

4)Raj Kiran hotel – Lonavla, Maharashtra

Want to visit a paranormal hot spot hotel? Then is the best place for you! The Raj Kiran hotel is believed to be haunted because many people staying at the hotel have complained of mysterious activities happening around them. Once a resident of a particular room stated that the bed sheets were pulled off them while they were sleeping and stayed in that state even after they left from the scare. Some people stated that they woke up in the middle of the night to find dark blue lights under their feet. Kinda difficult to believe but spooky nonetheless.

5)Dow Hill in Kurseong – Darjeeling

There is a possibility that you have never heard of this place but it believed to be haunted nonetheless. The forest around the village is said to be haunted as many woodsmen have reported sighting a headless boy running around the woods, also there have been countless reports of ghost sighting in Dow Hill Boarding School of Girls along with unexplainable paranormal activities.

6) Bengal Swamps – West Bengal

Bengal Swamps in West Bengal is known to be haunted all thanks to the Aleya Ghosts Lights. Many fishermen have reported to see some mysterious light which confuses them and makes them lose their bearings. It is believed that who ever follows the lights ends up drowning and true to the legend, many bodies of fishermen were found washed on the shore. People around the swamp believe that the lights are actually the spirits of the dead fishermen who are trying to confuse other fishermen. Sometimes these evil spirits confuse the fishermen leading them to drown while some lights help them avoid danger.

7)South Park Cemetry, Kolkata

People who think that cemeteries are not haunted should visit this place. Being a cemetery, many people were buried here in order to seek peace after death, however some souls just refuse to leave this world because they enjoy scaring and hurting the living. Many people have claimed to see the ghost of a women dressed in all white roaming around the cemetery (not very original though) , while some complained of falling ill after visiting the place. However spooky activities and the eerie feeling one gets in this place is much talked about.

8)Three Kings Church, Goa

This place is known to be as one of the most haunted as people have claimed to experience all the paranormal spookiness in this church. Locals believe that the spirits of the three kings resides and roam around the premises. The kings fought for the property until eventually killing each other in the process. This place is believed to be haunted by many including the Indian Paranormal Society.

9)Vas Villa- St. Marks road, Bangalore

This place was owned by the Vas family, here lived Mr. Vas’s (lawyer) two daughters Vera and Doice. Earlier in 2001 Doice was stabbed by an unknown culprit and Vera later moved out of the house. Doice was buried near the villa, but ever since Vera moved out the house has been abandoned and is now in ruins. Many paranormal activists have found negative energy while exploring the house and some claim to have seen the spirit of Doice who roams around the house. Eerie and spooky at the same time.

10)Khairatabad Science College, Hyderabad

Long ago this building used to be a science college but was later abandoned by the people, but the dead bodies in the biology lab were not disposed properly, those said dead bodies now haunt the area with many people claiming to see skeletons walking around the road and hearing creepy mysterious voices. A guard was stationed at this place by the government but he died suddenly, reason of which is still unknown. Whether this place is haunted or no, no one can tell. but the locals have religiously kept their distance from this college.
