Reading is one of the most essential things a human does for various purposes. Whether you are a bookworm or just an occasional reader it doesn’t matter because you will definitely meet these kind of readers in your life. And there is a slight chance that you may be one of these. So here are some types of readers you will find in life:
1) The Occasional Reader
So these are normal sane readers who read books for fun, they may finish reading a book in a month and then read another after a few months. See? normal, they read books occasionally hence, we named them the OR
2) The Hardcore fangirls/fanboys
So these are the people who are hard core fangirls or fanboys of one particular author, they have read all the books written by that author a bazillion times, they know when the next book is going to be released, they will know the plot of the story, they will know the behind-the-scenes of the plot, they are aware of the cover design of the next book, they are qualified to write an autobiography on the author. They are what you call the FANS, no, not fans, FANS in capitals.
3) The Unstoppable Binge Reader
So these are book addicts who NEED books to survive, they will binge read any book of any genre whether its romance, action, comedy, young adult doesn’t matter because they just want to READ. They read up to a point where they can predict the next word or next line in a paragraph, such is their expertise in reading (and I may or may not be guilty of being one)
4) The Series Seeker
These are the readers who are crazy about a specific series, they will know everything about the series and may or may not have read the entire said series multiple times.
5) That Person Who’s Read One Book And Calls Himself A Book Reader.
You know that one person, who says he’s a book reader but has read only one book? Many of us have encountered this person in our lives. You ask them what their favorite book is, they’ll tell everyone the name of the book they read. If you ever involve them in book discussions, they’ll talk about that one specific book they have read because they haven’t read any other book. Pal, we like you, but please don’t call yourself a book reader when you are not.
6) The Critique
These are the people who read books just to review them on their blogs or Goodreads. They will analyse every nook and corner of the story’s plot and review it like they are real critiques. They read books just for this reason and not for entertainment or knowledge.
7) The Trier
So these are the kind of people who love to try new genres, authors, writing styles etc etc etc. They don’t restrict themselves just to books. They will read anything, whether its articles, fan fiction, stories, poems, subtitles etc because they love trying new kind of written content. And hence, we named then The Triers
8) The Loyal Hobbit Readers
These are the readers who stay loyal to physical books and despise electronics like e-readers and e-reading apps, enough said.
9) Those Who Stick To One Genre.
We understand people who love one particular kind of genre. There’s nothing wrong with sticking to one genre. It could be romance, action, young adult anything. These readers love following a particular genre and know really good books of the same. It’s unnecessary to say that we go to them for book recommendations of that genre.
10) Those Who Don’t Stick To One Genre.
These readers are a bit like The Triers but they read only book but of different genre. They love exploring different kind of books and sometimes may read books just so to explore different genres. Mind you, these people are also very knowledgeable and will recommend you some really good books.
