The Doctors Companion Taking A Bold New Step

Doctor Who has been entertaining us with it’s amazing storylines and new companions. The Doctors companion is going to be taking a bold new step in the show’s history.

Doctors Companion Is Openly Gay

Bill Potts’ sexuality is going to be revealed in the next episode airing on 15th April, 2017 and apparently this will be The Doctor’s first openly gay companion. Being 21st century this is about time something like this happened. The actress Pearl Mackie, who plays the role of Bill was quoted saying to BBC, “It shouldn’t be a big deal in the 21st Century, it’s about time isn’t it? That representation is important, especially on a mainstream show. It’s important to say people are gay, people are black – there are also aliens in the world as well so watch out for them!”

Well, we look forward to the return of our beloved British TV show and The Doctors Companion’s coming out of the closet. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more such posts and you can also download our app to stay updated: Tell Me Nothing
