STAR One: 5 Indian TV shows we miss the most

We all remember memories and the ride is often fun. Similar is the case with television there are a few channels which cease to exist now but were a joy watching in the past. To all those who remember the Channel STAR One, it was one of India’s most popular general entertainment channels. Here are reasons why it was the best channel and the list of shows which were most amazing and youth oriented:

1. Remix – STAR One

With a funky star cast and a show based on 12th – grade students forming a music group and becoming the sensation of town, this show was loved among the youth. It had drama, romance and passion.

2.The Great Indian Laughter Challenge – STAR One

Before the web series like Pitchers or comedy groups like AIB or comedy nights with Kapil came into existence, stand up comedians had a platform of performing through this show. This show was the first and one of the most successful stand-up comedy shows on indian television. The show was judged by Navjot singh sidhu (who never stopped laughing) and Shekhar Suman, this show was a delight and made all of us laugh.

3. Special Squad – STAR One

It was an Indian crime thriller with a number of hot actors in it. The show mixed deduction, gritty subject matter and character-driven drama. Every episode began with a new crime. This show was a good suspense thriller(Much Better than CID). It was a treat to eyes as well as mind.

4. Dill Mill Gayye – STAR One

Before Karan Singh Grover became a cine star he acted in this indian Youth medical drama series. It was a sequel to star plus series Sanjeevani- a medical boon. The kind of hot medical interns and life depicted in the show gave many students a goal of becoming a doctor.

5. Sarabhai VS Sarabhai – STAR One

This show was an Indian anthology sitcom featuring a quintessential upper-class family in Mumbai. The show received a positive response from the critics and public alike and enjoyed one of the best TRPs for an Indian comedy show. This show was the most loved comedy show of that time, the characters excelled in their performances and this show still streams on Hotstar(If you want to watch it again).

We all hoped the channel to return or atleast few of it shows to be aired again, but that did not happen. They have still left a mark and will always have a special place in our hearts.
